Day 1

Travel to Kibale National Park

Travel to Kibale National Park

Pickup by our guide from Entebbe or Kampala in the morning. Travel to Kibale Forest National Park. This park is a home of 13 different primates including endangered chimpanzees, monkeys, mangabeys and pottos. Have lunch en-route. Go on a guided nature walk through the Bigodi swamp. During the walk, expect to see some bird species since the wetland is a haven for birds.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park and Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, the guide will transfer you to Kibale Park headquarters. After a short briefing by the ranger guides, you will be assigned ranger who will lead you on the hike into the tropical rain forest to track the chimpanzees. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be given one hour to watch the great apes. You will have one hour to observe the and take photos of these great apes. Exit the park and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site protecting almost half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. You will travel through the rural countryside of Uganda before you reach Rushaga, one of the sectors where gorilla tourism is done in Uganda. You will have lunch enroute. Upon reaching the lodge, relax as you await the next day gorilla trek. You will have a stopover enroute for lunch.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking

Breakfast. Transfer to the park headquarters and join a party of up to 8 tourists. Guided by park rangers, you will start the hike into the forest to start the search for the mountain gorillas. The duration of the gorilla trek depends on the movements of the gorilla family that you will be assigned to track. During the trek, the ranger guide will be in position to answer all your questions throughout the trek to make it informative, enjoyable and above all memorable. A maximum of one hour is given to enjoy the view, take photos and chat with Gorillas.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa Community. These people are former forest dwellers who used to live with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest. You will experience their lifestyle that involved food gathering, hunting and more.

Day 4

Transfer back to Entebbe through Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer back to Entebbe through Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, embark on a return trip to Entebbe or Kampala. Your will pass through Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise along Africa's second deepest Lake with its rich history. En-route have a stopover at Mbarara for lunch and the Equator for photographs. Drop Off at the hotel or Entebbe Airport.
