Arusha city tour after arrival

The Arusha Region is one of Tanzania’s most vibrant and diverse areas, located in the northern part of the country. It is often called the “safari capital” of Tanzania because it serves as the main starting point for many wildlife safaris and trekking adventures.

Arusha Region is home to the city of Arusha, a lively urban center that blends modern life with rich cultural heritage. The region is surrounded by some of Africa’s most famous natural attractions. To the northeast lies Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, while nearby Mount Meru offers a scenic and less crowded trekking experience.

The region is also known for its incredible wildlife and national parks. Arusha National Park features lush forests, lakes, and diverse animals such as giraffes, zebras, and flamingos. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which is the main water source for wildlife during the dry season. When other areas become dry, thousands of animals migrate into the park, making it one of the best places in Tanzania for viewing wildlife up close. Visitors can see elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and many species of birds.

Tarangire is also famous for its scenic beauty, which includes open savannahs, seasonal swamps, woodlands, and rolling hills. The combination of landscapes and wildlife makes it a popular destination for game drives, photography, and nature exploration.

The miracles of cental serengeti national park

Central Serengeti is the heart of the famous Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. It is one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa, known for its wide open plains, rocky outcrops called “kopjes,” and high concentration of animals throughout the year.

This area is especially famous for its rich predator population. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are commonly seen here, along with large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and gazelles. Because of its permanent water sources and abundant grasslands, wildlife stays in Central Serengeti year-round, making it one of the most reliable safari regions for game viewing.

Central Serengeti also features dramatic landscapes that make it ideal for photography and game drives. The granite kopjes provide resting spots for lions and excellent viewpoints for spotting wildlife across the plains.

Game drive at northen serengeti national park

Northern Serengeti is the remote northern section of the famous Serengeti National Park, located close to the border with Kenya. It is one of the most spectacular wildlife areas in Africa, best known for its dramatic river crossings during the Great Migration.
The region is dominated by rolling savannahs, rocky hills, and river valleys, with the most important feature being the Mara River. Every year, millions of wildebeest and zebras move through this area in search of fresh grazing, often crossing the river where crocodiles lie in wait. These crossings are one of the most famous wildlife spectacles in the world.
Northern Serengeti is also home to a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Compared to the central areas, it is quieter and less crowded, offering a more exclusive safari experience.

Ngorongoro game drive

Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most famous and spectacular natural wonders in Africa, located within the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano collapsed, creating the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

The crater is about 19 kilometers wide and has steep walls rising over 600 meters high, forming a natural enclosure for wildlife. Inside the crater lies a unique ecosystem with grasslands, forests, lakes, and swamps that support an incredible concentration of animals.

It is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the “Big Five” — lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhinoceros. Other animals commonly found here include zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, flamingos, and hippos.

Unlike many other parks, animals in the crater stay within its walls year-round because of the permanent water sources and rich grazing land. This makes wildlife viewing very reliable and rewarding in a short time.

Main Destination:
Ngorongoro Crater
Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)

Game drive lake manyara and departure

Lake Manyara National Park is a beautiful and compact protected area located in northern Tanzania, along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It is famous for its scenic landscapes, diverse habitats, and rich birdlife.

The park is named after the shallow alkaline lake, Lake Manyara, which occupies a large portion of the park. During certain seasons, the lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other water birds, creating a stunning pink shoreline.

Lake Manyara National Park is also known for its varied ecosystems, including groundwater forests, open grasslands, swamps, and acacia woodlands. This diversity supports a wide range of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, and baboons.

One of the park’s most famous attractions is its tree-climbing lions, which are rarely seen in other parts of Africa. These lions are often spotted resting on the branches of acacia trees.
