Day 1

You will be picked up at 6:00 am from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or airport and drive for about 2.5 hours to Nanyuki, arriving around 8:30 am with a stop at the Equator crossing along the way. From there, you continue for about 15 minutes to enter Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Your first 3-hour game drive explores the northern sector, where you may spot chimpanzees and other wildlife. By early afternoon, you arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp (or similar such as Moran Nanyuki) for lunch and views of animals at the nearby waterhole, along with resident monkeys. Later, you head to the eastern side of the conservancy to visit Baraka, the famous blind rhino, with additional game viewing en route. Dinner and overnight will be at Kongoni Camp or a similar lodge, with upgrade options available on request.

Day 2

7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel and drive to Mount Kenya National Park via Sirimon Gate.
7:40 am: After completing park formalities at Sirimon Gate, begin a 3½-hour (9 km) hike through forest, bamboo, rosewood, and heather zones to Old Moses Camp (3,300m). You gain about 740m in elevation while acclimatizing, with chances to spot buffalo, elephants, bushbucks, and diverse birdlife.
11:30 am: Continue a short hike of about 1 km to 3,600m for views of Batian Peak and Nelion Peak, the two highest summits of Mount Kenya, typically climbed only by professional mountaineers.
1:00 pm: Descend back to Old Moses Camp for a picnic lunch.
2:00 pm: Continue descending 9 km (about 1.5 hours) to Sirimon Gate, meet your driver, and transfer back to Nairobi, arriving around 6:00 pm.
