Your journey starts with a comfortable morning ride on the SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Tanzania’s countryside along the way.

On arrival in Morogoro, your professional safari guide from Mamnana Adventures will meet you and continue the journey by road towards Mikumi National Park.

After a short introduction and park formalities at the entrance, you will begin an exciting full-day game drive across the vast landscapes of Mikumi. During the safari, you’ll explore open savannahs and woodland areas rich in wildlife, with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and many other species in their natural habitat. Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart at around 06:30 AM for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park, exploring its diverse ecosystems including open savannahs, waterholes, hippo pools, and the rich wildlife areas of the Mkata Floodplain, which is well known for excellent game viewing. Throughout the day, you will search for iconic African wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lions, hyenas, and possibly elusive leopards.

A packed picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot inside the park, allowing time to relax while still surrounded by nature.

In the afternoon, you will continue with game viewing and photography before exiting the park and returning to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Village Tour in Morogoro with Return to Dar es Salaam via SGR Train

After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and set off for a guided village tour around the Mikumi area.

This enriching cultural experience allows you to connect with local communities and gain insight into rural Tanzanian daily life. You will explore traditional customs, local crafts, and agricultural practices, with possible visits to nearby homes, farms, or Maasai Village, village markets depending on availability.

After the tour, you will continue by road to Morogoro, where you will board the SGR train for your return journey to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your safari experience on a memorable note.
