Day 1-4

Makgadikgadi Salt pans

Habituated Meerkats, the stars of the show. You sit quietly near their burrows while they forage around, and sometimes on you. Unique terrain, the salt pans are the remains of an ancient lake, offering a stark, white landscape that is a dramatic contrast to the lush Delta. Please note we are always on guided game drive, by a 4x4 safari vehicle.

Encounter with the meerkats on sunrise, head to a known meerkat den. These meerkats are semi-habituated and may use humans as lookout posts to watch for predators. Afternoons we explore the Makgadikgadi salt Pans, on a guided game drive, evening stargazing on the salt flats, renowned for their deafening silence and clear night skies.

On day 4, we go for deep desert exploration, full-day game drive searching for desert-adapted species like the brown hyena, bat-eared fox, or the Kalahari black-maned lion, we not skip a visit to the famous Baobab trees, and have your Bruch under the huge Baobab trees.
