Day 1

Arrival in Arusha and Safari Briefing

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha for relaxation and overnight stay. This arrival day allows guests to recover from international travel and prepare for the exciting Great Migration safari ahead. Depending on arrival time, guests can relax at the lodge, enjoy the swimming pool, gardens, and peaceful atmosphere before the safari begins. In the evening, your safari guide will provide a detailed safari briefing about the itinerary, migration movement, wildlife viewing opportunities, safety information, and what to expect during the journey through Tanzania’s famous Northern Circuit. Overnight stay at Njiro Legacy or a similar mid-range lodge in Arusha before starting the safari adventure.

Day 2

After breakfast at the lodge in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park for an exciting full-day safari in one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities throughout the year. During the game drive, guests may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and many bird species as animals gather around the Tarangire River. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park surrounded by spectacular scenery before continuing with afternoon wildlife viewing across different areas of the park. In the late afternoon, continue toward Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at Mvuli Lodge Ngorongoro or a similar mid-range lodge located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, preparing for the journey toward Serengeti and the Great Migration experience ahead.

After breakfast at the lodge in Karatu, continue your safari adventure through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. Along the journey, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Highlands, Maasai villages, and the vast open plains that form part of the famous Serengeti ecosystem. Wildlife viewing begins before entering the park as guests may encounter zebras, giraffes, elephants, wildebeests, and many bird species along the route. After an early breakfast at the lodge, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive inside one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five while exploring the crater floor surrounded by breathtaking scenery and volcanic landscapes.
