Kigali to Akagera National Park

Your driver-guide will pick you up from Kigali for the drive to Akagera National Park. Enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s countryside before arriving at the park for lunch and check-in.

In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and different bird species along the shoreline.

After dinner, head out for a night game drive, a unique opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife including hyenas, bush babies, owls, and with luck, leopards.

Return to the lodge for overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Akagera

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Akagera’s savannah plains, woodlands, and lakes during a full-day game drive.

Search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, lions, and rhinos while enjoying the park’s beautiful landscapes and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Lunch will be enjoyed inside the park before continuing the afternoon safari. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive and Return to Kigali

Begin the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Enjoy final sightings and photography before leaving the park.
