Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), guests are warmly welcomed by lion motorcycle safari team and transferred to Arusha for check-in at the lodge. Depending on arrival time, riders may relax after the international journey or explore the vibrant town of Arusha, known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. In the evening, the group gathers for a comprehensive safari briefing covering motorcycle allocation, riding safety, road conditions, communication procedures, and the exciting route ahead. Riders also meet the support crew and guides while enjoying a welcome dinner. The atmosphere offers the perfect introduction to the adventure that awaits across Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes and remote regions.

Day 2
Arusha – West Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, the motorcycle safari officially begins with an exciting ride from Arusha toward the West Kilimanjaro region. The route passes through open countryside, Maasai villages, and dusty adventure tracks with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru dominating the horizon. Riders experience a mix of tarmac and off-road terrain ideal for adventure motorcycles while crossing scenic savannah landscapes inhabited by local pastoral communities. Along the journey, there are several opportunities for photography and cultural interaction with Maasai people. Arrival at Simba Farm in the afternoon allows time to relax in the peaceful highland environment surrounded by forests, fresh mountain air, and panoramic views before dinner and overnight stay.

Today’s ride takes the group around the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro toward Marangu, a beautiful area famous for coffee farms and as one of the main gateways to Africa’s highest mountain. Riders navigate scenic mountain roads, small agricultural villages, and winding countryside tracks while enjoying changing landscapes from dry plains to lush greenery. The cool mountain climate creates perfect riding conditions as the journey continues through Chagga communities rich in culture and history. Along the route, stops are made to admire waterfalls, local markets, and coffee plantations. Arrival at Mrefu Eco Lodge offers a peaceful atmosphere where riders can unwind and enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro before dinner and overnight.

Upon arrival in the late afternoon, the group will check in at Outpost Lodge for dinner and overnight stay, allowing time to relax and reflect on the incredible motorcycle adventure across Tanzania.

Guests will depart with lasting memories of the adventure, the scenic rides, and the unique experiences shared throughout the journey.
