Early Morning Meskel Celebration & Visit Group 2 and 3 Churches

Early in the morning around 5:00 AM, attend the sacred Meskel bonfire ceremony known as Demera, celebrating the discovery of the True Cross in the Ethiopian Orthodox tradition. The spiritual atmosphere is filled with candlelight, ancient hymns, incense, and prayers as thousands of pilgrims gather around the burning bonfire for blessings and celebration. After lunch, continue visiting the Group 2 and Group 3 churches, including the famous Church of Saint George (Bete Giyorgis), known for its beautiful cross-shaped design carved from a single rock.
