Day 1

This combined Kenya and Tanzania safari starts from Nairobi. After pick-up from the airport, drive to the floor of the Rift Valley and stop to take photos at the viewpoint, then continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Start the game drive as you drive towards the lodge.

You will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos, the lake is famous for approximately 400 other bird species that visit the lake. Many other species of game can be found in the park, including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Dinner and overnight are at your accommodation.

This full day is dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. You can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. You have the option of a visit to a Maasai village, or a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06:00 and ends with a champagne breakfast on the plains. What an exhilarating experience!
