Ziway to Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park

Drive to Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing. The park is home to Grant's gazelle, common ostrich, and warthog roaming the open plains. Large flocks of birds gather around the alkaline lakes, creating excellent birding opportunities. Return to Ziway or stay near the park for overnight. Overnight stay Haile resort.

Abijata-Shalla to Awash National Park

Drive east to Awash National Park passing changing landscapes along the Rift Valley. In the park, look for Somali ostrich, lappet-faced vulture, and white-bellied go-away-bird.
