We’ll pick you up from Dar es Salaam city center in the morning and drive to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. In the late afternoon, set out on a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you’ll encounter large pods of hippos, numerous crocodiles, and a wealth of birdlife. The park is home to over 350 recorded bird species, many typical of the miombo woodlands, while the Rufiji swamplands provide a unique haven for waterbirds and other fascinating species.
