Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Pickup Location: Windhoek Truckport

Depart Windhoek in the morning and travel south-west towards the Namib Desert. Enjoy spectacular scenery as you pass through Namibia's rugged landscapes, mountain passes, and vast open plains.

Arrive at your lodge in the Sossusvlei region during the afternoon. After check-in, enjoy time to relax by the pool or take in the peaceful desert surroundings.

In the late afternoon, join a sundowner experience and watch the desert transform into shades of gold, orange, and red as the sun sets over the Namib.

Rise before dawn for an early departure into the Namib-Naukluft National Park.

Witness sunrise over some of the world's highest sand dunes before continuing to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Explore the ancient white clay pan dotted with centuries-old camel thorn trees, creating one of Africa's most iconic landscapes.

Your guide will share fascinating insights into the geology, wildlife, and history of the Namib Desert.

Later, visit Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge carved by the Tsauchab River over millions of years.

Return to the lodge during the afternoon with time to relax and enjoy the desert atmosphere.
