Day 1

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins before sunrise in Zanzibar, where you’ll be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your morning flight to Arusha. On arrival, your private guide will welcome you, brief you on the adventure ahead, and drive with you toward Tarangire National Park, a wilderness of ancient baobab trees, open plains, and golden light. The journey takes around two hours, and once inside the park, the excitement rises quickly as Tarangire reveals why it is one of northern Tanzania’s most rewarding safari destinations.

Tarangire is famous for one of the highest elephant concentrations in the country, but it also shelters lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebra, giraffe, and vivid birdlife. Every turn of the track feels full of possibility, whether you are watching herds beneath the baobabs or scanning the bush for predators. After a picnic lunch, you’ll continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your luxury lodge in the Manyara area for dinner and overnight.

Main Destination:
Tarangire National Park
Best Time To Visit July to November (Animals come to the Tarangire River)
High Season June to October (The park is full of visitors)

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife arenas. The Ngorongoro Crater is a vast collapsed volcano whose floor holds an astonishing concentration of animals, framed by towering crater walls and changing landscapes of grassland, swamp, woodland, and lake. It is one of the few places in East Africa where almost every major species can be seen in a single day, and with luck you may even spot rare black rhino.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo lake before continuing your game drive across this extraordinary natural amphitheater, where zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, predators, and birdlife share the same compact ecosystem. You may stay longer in the crater for wildlife viewing or return earlier to your hotel for a relaxed swim and a slower finish to the day. Either way, superb game viewing and a comfortable overnight stay near Arusha create a perfect balance of adventure and ease.

Main Destination:
Ngorongoro Crater
Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)
High Season Most of the year – July to March (Expect crowds)

Day 3

Arusha National Park to Zanzibar

Arusha National Park to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you’ll leave your hotel and drive about an hour to Arusha National Park, a diverse park set against the slopes of Mount Meru. Unlike the broader plains of Tarangire and Ngorongoro, this park offers a greener, more intimate safari atmosphere with rainforest, open grassland, crater lakes, and views that shift through the day. It is especially known for black-and-white colobus monkeys, flamingos around the Momella Lakes, and the chance to enjoy wildlife in a setting that feels both scenic and peaceful.

One of the highlights here is the walking safari, which lets you experience the bush from ground level and notice details easily missed from a vehicle. Accompanied by an armed ranger and your guide, you’ll explore on foot before continuing with more sightseeing and a picnic lunch in the park. After your last photographs and game viewing, you’ll return to Arusha Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar, ending this short luxury safari with lasting memories.
