Today, your self-drive adventure officially begins! Hit the road in your 4x4 and navigate through Kenya in complete freedom. Along the way, you will make a stop to take in the impressive panoramic views over the Great Rift Valley. After a few hours, you will reach Lake Naivasha.
First, you will head straight to your accommodation to check in and drop off your luggage. You will stay at the luxurious Bilashaka Lodge, beautifully run by a Dutch family. After freshening up, you will head out on the water for a thrilling boat safari on Lake Oloiden.
The lake is teeming with hippos, while giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes watch you from the shores. Afterwards, you will return to your lodge. Here, you might even spot zebras, giraffes, and hippos casually strolling through the lush gardens before taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pool!

The dramatic landscape might look very familiar; it was the inspiration for the famous gorge scene in The Lion King! Luckily, there are no dangerous predators here, allowing you to peacefully cycle past giraffes, buffaloes, and warthogs, while zebras might run alongside your bike! All this unfolds against a backdrop of spectacular steep cliffs. During the tour, you will also take an adventurous hike through the deep gorge carved by ancient lava flows.

This dormant volcano in the Great Rift Valley is managed by the local Maasai community and is home to baboons, leopards, and spotted hyenas. Enjoy breathtaking views over the crater. Today is also all about authentic cultural encounters as you meet the traditionally nomadic Maasai people. They will lovingly prepare your local meals, with the option to try a traditional BBQ goat!

Welcome to the Chyulu Hills! This 2,188-meter-high volcanic mountain range between Amboseli and Tsavo is Kenya’s ultimate hidden gem. At the gate, you will meet your local guide, Jared, who will show you his territory characterized by rolling grassy hills, volcanic craters, and black lava flows.
You will also visit the local Kamba Community, where Jared is the chief! They focus on sustainability by planting trees and crafting sisal rope. After a warm welcome and a delicious local lunch, you will head up to your accommodation: Satellite Camp. Once at the top, it is time for a challenging but rewarding sundowner hike with Jared (ranging from 1 to 4 hours). Enjoy one of the most stunning sunsets in Kenya before relaxing at your cozy back-to-nature campsite, fully set up with tents, mattresses, and sleeping bags by your dedicated camp crew!

Wake up early to reach the mountain top by 6:00 AM! With your camera ready, watch the hills turn a beautiful orange while the dew still glistens on the tall grass. After a 30-minute walk, you return to camp for a simple breakfast and coffee prepared by your chef.
Next, you drive two hours on adventurous dirt roads to the main gate. Have you ever walked in a 100km long cave? Now is your chance! Jared will take you into one of the deepest caves in the world. Put on sturdy shoes and a headlamp; you will be climbing and scrambling 700 meters in the dark among the bats for 1.5 hours!
Afterwards, you board the modern, comfortable train to Tsavo West. Order a drink or snack and enjoy the views. Your paradise for tonight is Man Eaters Lodge. You stay in a luxury en-suite safari tent with a private balcony overlooking the Tsavo River. Relax by the pool, but keep your eyes open: elephants and zebras regularly visit the lodge to quench their thirst!

Unlike the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, Tsavo consists of dense bush and beautiful rock formations. You can sit back and relax today, as you will explore the rust-colored soil in a comfortable extended Landcruiser accompanied by an expert ranger!
You will notice the red sand leaves its mark on the wildlife: the famous elephants have a distinct red glow, and even the zebras are hardly black and white! The massive elephant population is partly thanks to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, which releases orphans into these wild herds.
Tsavo West is famous for its scenic beauty and is home to the Big Five! A must-see highlight today is Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water gushes from dry lava rocks. Enjoy exploring this magical "Land of Lava, Springs, and Man-Eaters"!

Upon arrival at the Mombasa train station, your included transfer will be waiting to take you straight to your beautiful accommodation, the CityBlue Creekside Hotel. Located right on the tidal Tudor Creek in historic Mombasa, your room features a private balcony with stunning views of the river estuary!

Today, you will discover culinary Mombasa! Because of its location on the Indian Ocean, the city has flavours from all over the world. You will join Khawaii, a trendy local 'bibi', for an authentic Cooking Class. First, you shop for ingredients at colourful, chaotic markets, drink super-local coffee, and visit culinary hotspots. Then, you head to Khawaii's home to turn your ingredients into a spectacular meal.
Would you rather explore differently? You can optionally join a guided City Tour or Streetfood Tour through the Old Town, passing the famous tusks and Fort Jesus. Alternatively, step aboard a traditional dhow for a relaxing sunset cruise on Mombasa Creek, complete with Kenyan snacks!

Along the fairy-tale coast of Kenya, you will drive south from Mombasa. After a short 40-minute drive, you will reach your final destination: Diani Beach!
You will stay at the Asha Boutique Hotel, a dreamy and cozy little lodge featuring a lovely swimming pool overlooking the ocean. The lodge has a beautiful tropical garden where Colobus monkeys feel right at home, giving you a jungle and beach vibe in one! The stunning white sand beach is just a short walk away.
The next few days are all about relaxing at the beach! There is plenty to do in Diani: you can optionally go snorkeling, kite surfing, or scuba diving. Of course, you can also choose to take it easy: swim, sunbathe, read a book, and find a cozy restaurant for dinner. Because Diani is a bit more developed, there is a great variety of restaurants and bars. Besides beach activities, an optional visit to the Colobus Conservation or the mangrove forests is definitely worth it!

All good things must come to an end, and today your magnificent Kenya adventure concludes! After a final relaxing morning and breakfast at the coast, a private transfer will pick you up and take you to the Diani airstrip (Ukunda).
From here, you will board a short domestic flight back to Nairobi, enjoying beautiful views of the Kenyan landscapes from the air one last time. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, your driver will be waiting to safely transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your international flight home.
