Your safari begins with an early morning pickup in Nairobi, followed by a scenic journey to Tsavo West National Park, one of Kenya’s most diverse and dramatic wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through changing landscapes before arriving at the park, where your adventure begins immediately with an en-route game drive.

As you make your way to the lodge, keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and other wildlife that inhabit the park’s vast wilderness. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and check-in, relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive through Tsavo West’s rugged terrain, exploring wildlife-rich areas in search of lions, buffalo, antelope, and other species. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the park’s unique ecosystem, geology, and wildlife behavior. As the sun begins to set, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day Game Drive in Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration in Tsavo West National Park. Discover some of the park’s most iconic attractions, including Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters attract hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife, as well as the dramatic Shetani Lava Flows, a striking reminder of the region’s volcanic past. The park’s diverse landscapes, ranging from rolling hills and volcanic formations to acacia woodlands and open plains, provide exceptional scenery and rewarding wildlife viewing.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a short period of relaxation before heading out again for an afternoon game drive. As temperatures begin to cool, wildlife becomes more active, increasing your chances of spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter elusive predators such as leopards and cheetahs. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
