Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, meet your safari guide and depart for the Aberdare region. Arrive at The Ark Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole where elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife frequently visit. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoy wildlife viewing directly from the lodge's observation decks. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge.

Aberdare to Samburu National Reserve – Journey to Northern Kenya

After breakfast, depart for Samburu National Reserve, crossing the scenic central highlands and changing landscapes of northern Kenya. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the reserve, famous for its unique wildlife species known as the Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Search for the Samburu Special Five

Spend the entire day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts abundant wildlife throughout the year, offering excellent game-viewing opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya's leading wildlife conservancies and an important rhino sanctuary. Arrive at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the conservancy, home to the Big Five and the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. You may also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary (optional). Dinner and overnight at the camp.
