Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport in Kigali, Rwanda. After a short briefing, drive through the beautiful rolling hills of Rwanda towards the Uganda border. Complete border formalities and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy spectacular scenery, terraced hillsides, and local villages along the way. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, check in, and relax while enjoying the tranquil forest environment. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as you prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Enter the forest with experienced guides in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take between two and six hours depending on the gorillas' location. Once the gorillas are found, spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments before beginning the scenic drive back to Kigali. Arrive in Kigali in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
