1-Day Mgahinga Gorilla Trek from Kigali

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your driver-guide will pick you up very early in the morning, around 4:00 am, from your hotel or the airport in Kigali. After a short briefing, depart for the Cyanika border and cross into Uganda before continuing to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you will receive a briefing from the park rangers regarding gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. You will then enter the forest accompanied by experienced guides and trackers in search of the Nyakagezi gorilla family. The trek may last between two and five hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the starting point and enjoy lunch before beginning the drive back to Kigali.

Arrive in Kigali in the evening and transfer to your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
