Day 2
Fly to Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Arusha Airport for your scheduled bush flight to the spectacular Northern Serengeti. On landing, you will meet your professional safari guide and immediately begin your first game drive. The Northern Serengeti is renowned for its exceptional wildlife viewing and the Great Migration from July to October, offering front – row seats to the dramatic Mara River Crossings as thousands of wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile – infested waters. After lunch at the camp, you will continue your afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous species of antelopes. You will return to camp for dinner beneath the African safaris.

Today is dedicated to exploring Serengeti National Park’s Northern region, one of Africa’s most wildlife – rich ecosystems. Spend the day tracking resident predators including lions, cheetahs, and leopards among others while observing vast herds of plains game. Your expert guide will tailor the day’s activities according to wildlife movements, ensuring the best possible safari experience. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon exploration.
Later, you will return to the camp for another evening surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Today you will enjoy a full day exploring the heart of Serengeti National Park. After a delicious early breakfast, you will descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for one of the most remarkable wildlife experiences in Africa. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Ngorongoro Crater supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife including black rhinos, hippos, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, hartebeests and gazelles among others.
Enjoy picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before continuing your afternoon game drive. Ascend the crater in the late afternoon and return to your lodge.

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park – a scenic Tanzania safari destination famous for its iconic baobab trees and some of East Africa’s largest elephant herds. Enjoy an extensive game drive while searching for lions, herds of elephants, giraffes, impalas, zebras, elands, ostriches and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River is the lifeline of the park and its ecosystem, attracting wildlife throughout the year, making it one of Tanzania’s finest safari destinations. Later, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, during this time of year the wildlife is most active. You will return to the lodge for breakfast before beginning your drive back to Arusha, after lunch you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda.
On arrival, you will be met by our representative and be transferred to your hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out on a journey to explore Rwanda’s vibrant Kigali City. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will gain insight into Rwanda’s remarkable history and journey of reconciliation. Also, you will explore local craft markets and art galleries, offering an opportunity to explore the country’s rich culture and purchase locally made souvenirs.
After lunch, depart Kigali and enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your luxurious lodge, where you can relax and prepare for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Following an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing by park rangers before setting off on your once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the lush rainforest in search of one of the habituated gorilla families, and once located, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Afterwards, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, later go for a visit to the Dian Fossey Museum, where you will learn about Dian Fossey and her pioneering conservation work and the ongoing efforts to protect the endangered mountain gorillas and their habitat.

After breakfast, head back into Volcanoes National Park for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. The beautiful endangered golden monkeys are unique to the Virunga Mountains and offer excellent photography opportunities.
Following your gorilla trek, you will return to the lodge to freshen up before beginning your drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule you will be transferred directly to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your memorable Tanzania and Rwanda Safari to an end.
