Day 1

Samburu National Reserve

You will be picked up from the airport and welcomed with a safari briefing by your driver-guide. From there, you will travel north, crossing the Equator into Kenya's Northern Frontier district. Continue to the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve, where you will check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. After some time to relax, set out on an afternoon game drive to begin your safari adventure.

You will enjoy twice-daily game drives, which offer opportunities to see majestic elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the unique "Samburu Special Five:" the Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich. Located in the hot, arid lowlands of northern Kenya, the reserve is characterized by doum palms and is home to more than 450 bird species, providing fascinating wildlife experiences throughout your stay. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

You will set out early for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve. The morning is typically the best time for game viewing, as the cooler temperatures provide a more favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal, whether it is an unsuspecting impala or a smaller animal such as a warthog. The spectacle of nature unfolding is always amazing to watch from the pop-up roof of your safari vehicle. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

You will enjoy an early breakfast at the camp or lodge before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, proceed on a game drive through the park, which is surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands. Lake Nakuru is an excellent destination for birdwatching and is known for its population of endangered black rhinos. Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

You will check out and drive via Narok Town to Masai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai community. The proud young Maasai warrior-nomads, with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, are sure to capture your curiosity. The 700-square-mile reserve is the Africa of your dreams, with wild animals grazing across a superb landscape of rolling hills and acacia woodlands. You will check in at your lodge or camp and have lunch. There will be time to settle in before your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive before returning to the lodge before dark for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

Start the day with an early morning sunrise game drive within the reserve. Early mornings are the perfect time to spot wildlife, as animals are highly active, allowing for spectacular photography.

After the game drive, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive across the reserve. Did you know that the Maasai Mara is one of the Seven Wonders of the World?

Located at the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Masai Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal Great Migration of thousands of wildebeest as they cross the Mara River. It is a true example of the "survival of the fittest," as the animals face massive predators such as lions and crocodiles. The Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos—are all residents of the reserve. The Mara is also home to one of the most significant black rhino populations in Africa.

Day 6

Rise early and freshen up before breakfast is served. After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel. Later, you will drive to Lake Naivasha, a breathtaking natural wonder, and check in at your lodge, where lunch will be served.

In the afternoon, you will participate in exciting activities, including a boat excursion on Kenya’s second-largest freshwater lake, Lake Naivasha (at no extra cost).

You will later embark on a walk on Crescent Island. The walk takes place on comfortable, flat terrain, making it an easy experience. The island is home to a variety of bird species, including fish eagles, ospreys, black cranes, and herons, as well as animals such as giraffes, zebras, and impalas. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and check out of the hotel. You will then board your safari vehicle for a transfer to the spectacular Amboseli National Park for another exciting adventure.

Upon arrival at Amboseli National Park, you will embark on an introductory game drive for the rest of the day. A picnic lunch will be provided. Enjoy views of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro while witnessing the Big Five and other wildlife that call this park home.

Be on the lookout for the sunset behind Mount Kilimanjaro, where you will have an incredible photo opportunity.
