Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport at around 05:00. Take a scheduled flight to Arusha, departing at around 08:00 and arriving at approximately 09:00. Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and continue by road to Tarangire National Park, a drive of about 2 hours.

Enjoy a safari in Tarangire, a park well known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and beautiful seasonal landscapes. During the game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and many bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park.

After the safari, continue to your lodge in the Karatu area, a drive of approximately 1.5 hours. Check in, relax and enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Flight Back to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, drive for about 30 minutes to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From there, continue for approximately 1 hour through the reserve towards the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Descend into the crater for a memorable safari in one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations. The crater floor is home to a wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and, with some luck, the rare black rhino. A picnic lunch will be served during the safari.

After the game drive, continue to Arusha Airport, a drive of approximately 3.5 hours. Take your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar at around 17:00-18.30. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Zanzibar.
