Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. You will meet your professional safari guide and depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. You'll stop briefly at a viewpoint for photography before continuing to the reserve.

You will arrive at your mid-range safari lodge in time for lunch and check-in. After some relaxation, you will head out for your first afternoon game drive, where you'll have the opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, and other wildlife roaming the vast savannah.

You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Wildebeest Migration Safari

After an early breakfast, you depart with packed picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in search of the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Your guide will take you to the Mara River, where, if conditions are favorable during the migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the crocodile-filled river—one of Africa's most breathtaking wildlife events.

You will spend the day exploring different parts of the reserve while searching for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) as well as cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated scenic spot before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing.

You return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will enjoy an early morning breakfast before checking out of the camp. Depending on your departure time, you may have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village (optional and payable locally) to experience the rich culture and traditions of the Maasai people.

You begin your journey back to Nairobi with a lunch stop en route (if included in your schedule). Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari.
