Day 1

Transfer to Lake Nakuru and game drive

Transfer to Lake Nakuru and game drive

Drive northwest through the Great Rift Valley, stopping briefly at a viewpoint to admire the spectacular escarpment before continuing to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Explore the park's diverse landscapes in search of black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, Rothschild's giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, impalas, warthogs, and, with some luck, leopards resting in the acacia woodlands. Along the lake shore, you'll encounter a rich variety of birdlife, including pelicans, herons, cormorants, African fish eagles, and, depending on lake conditions, flamingos.

Morning game drive and return to Nairobi

Morning game drive and return to Nairobi

Wake up early for breakfast before setting out on a morning game drive, the ideal time to spot wildlife as animals are most active. Explore different areas of the park in search of black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. Bird enthusiasts can also enjoy sightings of pelicans, African fish eagles, cormorants, herons, and, when conditions are favourable, flamingos along the lake shore.

After the game drive, exit the park and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley before arriving in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
