Day 1

Morning: Meet your driver guide and set off north via Nanyuki and Isiolo. Make a brief stop at the Equator Crossing for photos and demonstrations. Midday: Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge or camp. Afternoon: Head out for an evening game drive along the Ewaso Ny'iro River. Keep an eye out for Samburu’s famous "Special Five" the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, and Gerenuk as well as elephants and lions. Overnight: Samburu Sopa Lodge / Elephant Bedroom Camp /Sarova Shaba (or similar).

Morning: Have an early breakfast, check out, and drive south into the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru. Midday: Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park by early afternoon, check in, and enjoy lunch. Afternoon: Embark on an afternoon game drive around the lake and through the acacia forest. Lake Nakuru is a world-renowned sanctuary for Black and White Rhinos, Rothschild’s Giraffes, and large herds of buffalos, as well as thousands of flamingos and pelicans. Lake Nakuru National park to Lake Naivasha

Lake Nakuru National park to Lake Naivasha

Morning: After breakfast, take a quick morning game drive out of Lake Nakuru National Park and head toward Lake Naivasha (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours drive). Check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. Afternoon: Visit Hell’s Gate National Park one of the few parks in Kenya where you can do a bicycle safari or walking safari alongside zebras, gazelles, and giraffes. Late Afternoon: Head to the shores of Lake Naivasha for a 1-hour boat ride to spot hippos and waterbirds up close. You can also opt for a walking safari on Crescent Island among wild animals. Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort / Naivasha Country Club / Sawela Lodge.
