2 travelers on Start dateYour journey begins as you travel north from Nairobi, descending past Mount Kenya into the rugged, semi-arid wilderness of Samburu. Over the first two days, explore the banks of the lifeline Ewaso Ng'iro River. Samburu is famous for its "Special Five"—rare species adapted to the dry terrain, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the long-necked gerenuk. You will also spot large herds of elephants, lions, and elusive leopards prowling the acacia shade.
