Diani Beach Arrival

Arrive via Ukunda Airstrip, or transfer by road from Moi International Airport, Mombasa. Check in to your beachfront accommodation on the white sands of Diani, widely rated among Africa's finest beaches.
The rest of the day is at leisure — relax by the pool, take a first dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, or simply unwind after your journey. Enjoy a relaxed evening as the sun sets over the coastline.

Wasini Island & Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park

After breakfast, depart south for Shimoni, gateway to the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park. Board a traditional dhow for a full day on the water, cruising the channel in search of resident pods of bottlenose and humpback dolphins.
Snorkel over vibrant coral gardens inside the marine park, home to colourful reef fish and, seasonally, passing whales. Enjoy a fresh Swahili seafood lunch on Wasini Island before an afternoon walk along the island's fossilised Coral Garden boardwalk. Return to Diani by evening.

Shimba Hills National Reserve

Depart after breakfast for Shimba Hills National Reserve (approx. 1 hour from Diani) — Kenya's only sanctuary for the rare sable antelope and home to one of the country's densest elephant populations. Enjoy a morning game drive through lush coastal rainforest and rolling grassland, watching for elephant, buffalo, giraffe and the elusive leopard.
Continue on foot, accompanied by an armed ranger, for a guided nature walk to Sheldrick Falls — a scenic hike through indigenous forest to the base of the waterfall, with the option of a swim in the natural pool below. Return to Diani in the afternoon.

Colobus Conservation & Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest

A gentler day exploring Diani's cultural and conservation side. Visit Colobus Conservation, a not-for-profit sanctuary dedicated to protecting the endangered Angolan black-and-white colobus monkey and its coastal forest habitat.
Continue to Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest, a UNESCO-listed remnant of the Mijikenda sacred forests, for a guided walk led by a local elder through ancient groves still used for traditional ceremonies. Enjoy the afternoon at the African Pool, a hidden coastal gem, before taking a sunset dhow cruise along the scenic Kongo River.
