Arusha – Ndutu Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Ndutu region, located between the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro ecosystem. Enjoy a game drive en route as you begin searching for the vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles that gather here during the calving season.

From December to March, the Ndutu plains become the nursery of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest calves are born every day. This abundance of prey attracts predators, offering exceptional opportunities to witness dramatic wildlife interactions.

Arrive at your camp in the evening and relax while surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Full Game Drive Ndutu Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full morning game drive across the Ndutu plains, one of the best places in Africa to witness the Great Migration during the calving season. Watch thousands of wildebeests with their newborn calves grazing across the open grasslands while lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards patrol the area in search of prey.

After a picnic lunch, continue your afternoon game drive before departing the Ndutu region and driving through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's finest wildlife destinations. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent. Search for the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and numerous bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the Hippo Pool before ascending the crater and beginning your scenic drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Calving Season Migration Safari.
