Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint before continuing to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your safari lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is famous for its abundant wildlife and offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with a bit of luck, elusive leopards and cheetahs. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is home to the iconic Big Five and boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Between July and October, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to maximize your wildlife viewing. Optional activities include a sunrise hot air balloon safari or a cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village.

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and travel through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned as one of Kenya's premier rhino sanctuaries, offering excellent chances to see both black and white rhinos. The park is also home to Rothschild's giraffes, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons, and numerous bird species, including flamingos when water conditions are favourable.
