Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint before continuing to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your safari lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is famous for its abundant wildlife and offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with a bit of luck, elusive leopards and cheetahs. The park is also home to Rothschild's giraffes, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons, and numerous bird species, including flamingos when water conditions are favourable.
