Your adventure begins in Nairobi with an early morning departure by road towards the Maasai Mara region, approximately 260 km and 5–6 hours depending on road conditions. En route, stop at a traditional Maasai village for an immersive cultural experience. Meet the local Maasai community and learn about their traditional way of life, including their homes, livestock, clothing, beadwork, customs and traditional dances. Spend time interacting with community members and gaining an understanding of the Maasai's close relationship with their environment and pastoral lifestyle. After the cultural visit, continue to your accommodation in Mara Sopa for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, carrying a packed lunch. Explore the expansive savannah plains in search of the Big Five, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino, as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and numerous bird species. Your experienced safari guide will follow wildlife activity and explore different sections of the reserve to maximize opportunities for sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Maasai Mara-Nairobi

After an early breakfast, embark on a final extended game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, continuing your search for the Big Five and other wildlife. Explore the reserve's open savannahs and wildlife-rich areas while enjoying the last hours of your Mara experience. Continue with game viewing until around lunchtime or early afternoon, after which you will exit the reserve and begin your road transfer to Nairobi, approximately 260 km and 5–6 hours depending on road and traffic conditions. Arrive in Nairobi in the late evening, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner and relax overnight in preparation for the following day's journey to Samburu.

Day 4

Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Nairobi by road for Samburu, approximately 350 km and 6–7 hours. The journey takes you north through changing landscapes, from the greener central highlands towards the rugged and semi-arid scenery of northern Kenya. Arrive in the Samburu region and proceed to Samburu Sopa Lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, beginning your search for the famous Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Samburu National Reserve with a packed lunch. Search for the Special Five while exploring the reserve's dry savannah, rocky landscapes and the wildlife-rich areas around the Ewaso Nyiro River. You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, hyenas and a variety of bird species. Later, visit a Samburu village or community for an authentic cultural experience. Learn about traditional Samburu homes, clothing, beadwork, livestock keeping, family life, music and dances. Spend time interacting with community members and experiencing the similarities and differences between Samburu and Maasai traditions. Return to Samburu Sopa Lodge in the evening.
