Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, approximately 260 km / 5–6 hours by road. Enjoy the scenic journey through the Great Rift Valley and surrounding countryside before arriving in the Mara. After lunch and check-in at your mid-range accommodation, head out for an afternoon game drive. Explore the vast savannah plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Maasai Mara-Serengeti

Maasai Mara-Serengeti

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and travel by road towards the Isebania border, approximately 200 km / 5–6 hours depending on the route and road conditions. Complete the Kenya–Tanzania border formalities before meeting your Tanzanian safari guide and continuing towards the Serengeti National Park. Depending on the timing of the border crossing, enjoy game viewing as you enter the Serengeti and travel towards your accommodation. The journey provides an exciting transition from the Kenyan savannah to Tanzania's famous endless plains. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
