Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi after breakfast. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a stop at a viewpoint for photographs and a short break. Continue to the Masai Mara, enjoying views of rural Kenya and local communities along the way. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive across the Mara’s famous open savannahs. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and, with luck, cheetahs and leopards. As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the changing scenery and excellent photography opportunities before returning to your accommodation in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart with your packed picnic lunch for a full-day exploration of the Masai Mara National Reserve. The morning game drive takes you deep into the reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras and, during the migration period, dramatic predator activity. Stop at a designated scenic location for your picnic lunch while enjoying the surrounding wilderness. Continue with an afternoon game drive exploring different areas of the reserve before returning to camp in the late afternoon. Optional Maasai village visit at an extra cost can be arranged for an authentic cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 3

Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and departing the Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, local villages and the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Along the way, enjoy scenic views and opportunities to see everyday Kenyan life. Arrive in the Lake Nakuru area around lunchtime and enjoy lunch before proceeding for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its rhinos and is also home to Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, lions and numerous bird species. Explore the park around the lake and through its woodland areas before exiting in the late afternoon. Proceed to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha – Amboseli

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy time to appreciate the lake and its surrounding scenery. Optional boat ride at an extra cost can be arranged, offering close views of hippos and numerous waterbirds while enjoying the peaceful waters. After the Naivasha experience, continue your journey toward Amboseli National Park, with lunch taken en route. The drive provides an opportunity to see Kenya’s countryside and local communities. Arrive in the Amboseli area later in the afternoon or evening, depending on road conditions. Check in, enjoy dinner and relax ahead of the following day’s full-day wildlife adventure.

Rise early for a final game drive in Amboseli, when temperatures are cooler and wildlife is generally more active. This is also one of the best opportunities for photographs of elephants and other animals, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop when the skies are clear. Return to your lodge for breakfast before checking out. Begin your drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the changing landscapes and views of rural Kenya along the way. Stop for lunch en route before continuing to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon and transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements. Your memorable Kenya safari ends with wonderful memories of the Mara, Rift Valley lakes and Amboseli.
