Depart Amboseli for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, then spend the afternoon at your own pace — with the option of a boat ride on Kenya's second-largest freshwater lake, or a walk on Crescent Island, where flat, easy terrain makes for relaxed wildlife viewing among giraffe, zebra, and waterbuck (both optional, cost not included; your driver-guide can arrange either). Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Begin the day with an early game drive into Hell's Gate National Park — the only park in Kenya where you can walk or cycle right among the wildlife, at an extra cost. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then set off for Lake Nakuru National Park, with a game drive along the way where leopard sightings are common. Arrive in time for lunch, then head back out in the afternoon on a drive focused on tracking down the park's black and white rhino. Nakuru is equally known for its birdlife, with thousands of flamingos often gathered along the lakeshore. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
