Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha.

Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel, recover from your journey, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Arusha. If time permits, you may take a short walk around the area or simply rest and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead.

Your guide will meet you for a safari briefing and explain the itinerary, what to expect during your journey, and important information about wildlife viewing and the different destinations you will visit.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire

Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, you will begin your Tanzania safari adventure and drive toward Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and beautiful savannah landscapes.

Upon entering the park, you will begin your first game drive. Keep your camera ready as Tarangire is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and many other species. With some luck, you may also spot lions and other predators.

Tarangire's landscape is especially beautiful, with enormous baobab trees scattered across the plains and the Tarangire River providing an important source of water for wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive through different areas of Tarangire.

Later in the afternoon, you will leave the park and drive toward Karatu, a charming town located close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax after your first exciting safari day.

Day 3

Tarangire to Central Serengeti

Tarangire to Central Serengeti

After an early breakfast, you will depart Karatu and travel toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey itself is part of the adventure as you pass through the spectacular landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you may encounter Maasai communities, traditional villages and large herds of livestock.

As you approach Serengeti, the landscape gradually opens into endless plains. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word meaning "endless plains," and you will quickly understand why. After entering the park, begin your game drive toward Central Serengeti. It is an excellent area for spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and many species of antelope.

Enjoy a picnic lunch or lodge lunch depending on the day's schedule, followed by more game viewing.

As the afternoon progresses, you will continue exploring Central Serengeti before heading to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Central serengeti to karatu

Central serengeti to karatu

Wake up early and prepare for a memorable morning in the Serengeti. An early morning game drive offers one of the best opportunities to observe wildlife when temperatures are cooler and many animals are active. You may see lions returning from a night of hunting, cheetahs searching the plains, elephants moving through the grasslands and herds of wildebeest and zebras beginning their daily movements.

After the game drive, return for breakfast and enjoy breakfast at your accommodation. Then You will then begin your journey out of Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro region. Along the way, continue enjoying wildlife sightings and the changing scenery.

Eventually, you will leave the Serengeti behind and travel toward Karatu, where you will spend the night.

The afternoon can be used to relax at your lodge, enjoy the gardens and swimming pool, or simply recover after several exciting safari days.

Day 5

Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for an unforgettable game drive.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular natural amphitheater surrounded by steep walls and provides a protected environment for a remarkable concentration of wildlife. As you explore the crater floor, look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles and many different bird species. The crater is also one of the places where you have a chance of seeing the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic area while surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the crater. After lunch and further game viewing, you will ascend from the crater and drive back toward Karatu.

Spend the evening relaxing at your accommodation, enjoying dinner and reflecting on the incredible wildlife experiences you have had so far.

Karatu to Lake Eyasi

Today offers a different side of Tanzania as you leave the traditional safari experience behind and discover the fascinating cultures surrounding Lake Eyasi. After breakfast, drive toward Lake Eyasi, an area known for its diverse communities and traditional way of life.

Depending on the arrangements and local availability, you can have the opportunity to meet members of the Hadzabe community, one of Tanzania's indigenous hunter-gatherer peoples. With the guidance of your local cultural hosts, learn about their traditional lifestyle, hunting and gathering practices, relationship with nature and unique cultural traditions.

You may also have the opportunity to interact with the Datoga people and learn about their traditional skills, including metalworking, livestock keeping and other aspects of their daily life. After the cultural experience, enjoy lunch before beginning your return journey to Karatu, then transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7

After breakfast, begin your final day by traveling toward the Materuni waterfalls area near Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival in Materuni, meet your local guide and begin the walk toward Materuni Waterfalls. The trail takes you through lush vegetation, farmland and beautiful countryside.

During the walk, you can learn about local plants, traditional farming and the way people live in the area. The scenery is particularly beautiful, with green vegetation and views toward the surrounding mountains.

Your unforgettable 7-day Tanzania adventure now comes to an end. Your driver will transfer you to the airport in good time for your international flight back home. As you depart Tanzania, you will take with you memories of elephants beneath giant baobabs in Tarangire, unforgettable wildlife encounters across the Serengeti, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, authentic cultural experiences at Lake Eyasi, and the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.
