Arrival in Nairobi & Safari Brief

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a Travelpros Africa Safaris representative for a warm meet, greet, and safari briefing. Afterward, you will be escorted to Tamarind Tree Hotel for check-in and overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

​After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at Samburu Sopa Lodge. After lunch relax and have an afternoon siesta. Later in the afternoon set out for an afternoon game drive in the Reserve. Afterwards return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Game Drives in Samburu National Reserve

Spend a full day exploring the rugged plains of Samburu National Reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. You will track majestic predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs alongside large herd of elephants and the rare “Samburu Special Five”: the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the unique, standing Gerenuk gazelle. The day also includes taking in the views of the Ewaso Ng’iro River, where crocodiles bask along the banks, and enjoying a scenic picnic lunch out in the wild against the iconic backdrop of Mt. Ololokwe. An optional cultural visit to a traditional Samburu village can be arranged. Afterwards return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

​Check out after breakfast and journey toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive for lunch and check-in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Relax during the afternoon before embarking on an afternoon game drive across the sanctuary. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy

​Spend a full day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy on morning and afternoon game drives. You will track the complete “Big Five,” including East Africa’s largest sanctuary for the endangered black rhinos, alongside elephants, lions, leopards and buffaloes. Highlights include a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary to see the rescued primates and an encounter with the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. It is also the only place on earth home to the last two surviving northern white rhinos, Najin and Fatu, also the only place in Kenya where rescued Chimpanzees can be seen. You will also visit Baraka the famous blind rhino, to feed him from a wooden platform and cross the official equator line. You will have a scenic picnic lunch in the wild against the spectacular views of Mt. Kenya. Afterwards return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Depart Ol Pejeta after breakfast for Lake Naivasha. Check in and enjoy lunch at Naivasha Sopa Resort. Later in the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for an exclusive guided walking safari alongside giraffes, zebras, Water bucks and wildebeests. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Maasai Mara Safari & Cultural Village Visit

Spend a full day immersed in the drama of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Begin at sunrise with a game drive across golden plains, where lions stalk silently and elephants move through the mist. If you’re lucky, you will witness the Great Wildebeest Migration-thousands of wildebeest thundering towards the Mara River also “The Killer River” as crocodiles lie in wait, feeding on them as they cross. You can opt for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes for a bush picnic that gives you more time in the reserve.
