It was our first trip to Africa, and it couldn’t have started any better.
John truly cares about his "guests."
He is highly competent and always knows where to find the best sights; at the same time, he deeply respects the animals, maintaining a proper distance and ensuring a respectful interaction—something we greatly appreciated.
The lodges were very well chosen, and the travel times between locations were never too long.
Our guide, John, was always in good spirits and speaks excellent German. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the country and its people.
He is also incredibly helpful (we even ended up towing another vehicle!), and he is well-liked by everyone he meets, as he always has a smile and a kind word for everyone.
We felt safe and comfortable at all times.

John is the kindest most down to earth human. John is knowledgeable, humorous, patient, intelligent, and such a kind soul and spirit. John is so present and intentional with his time. John’s passion in life is guiding these safaris and he feels most alive in nature with these incredible animals. I learned so much about the animals in the wild from John and I also learned so much about life and the human experience. John was an amazing mentor and teacher full of wisdom who turned into a lifelong friend of mine. I whole heartedly recommend booking a safari with John and his wonderful team.
