Journey from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Boat Safari Experience)

We will arrange the transfer and begin your adventure with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the ferry terminal for the 7:00 AM boat to Dar es Salaam. On arrival, meet Kiliholidays professional driver-guide for a scenic 4–5 hour drive to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve).

Upon reaching the park, enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch at camp, followed by a short rest before your first adventure begins.

At 4:00 PM, set out on a sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River. For about 3 hours, glide across the waters while spotting an incredible variety of birdlife, alongside crocodiles basking on the banks and hippos are wallowing in the shallows.

As the sun dips below the horizon, you’ll return to Mloka Safari Lodge. Nestled just outside the park, this charming retreat offers comfort accommodation, warm hospitality, and a delicious dinner—perfect for unwinding after your first day in the wild.

Nyerere National Park to Zanzibar Island

After a relaxed breakfast at Mloka Safari Lodge, set out for a two-hour cultural visit to a Maasai village, where you’ll gain fascinating insights into their traditions, lifestyle, and heritage. Following the experience, begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch provided. The drive includes a scenic stop for a picnic before continuing to the city.

Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you’ll be transferred to the ferry terminal for your return trip to Zanzibar. Once you reach Zanzibar, our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
