Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

At 07:00, meet up with our hospitality representative and your dedicated safari driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel lobby or the airport. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, depart and drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in the early afternoon for check-in and lunch at your camp.

You have leisure time to relax and soak in magnificent views of the park from your room veranda or lounge, or enjoy a swim in the camp’s swimming pool.

Later, embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive in the park. Amboseli is one of Kenya's most popular safari destinations and offers spectacular views of the world's highest free-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Elephants are a dominant presence in Amboseli; researchers track them almost constantly, which is why they have largely escaped the ravages of 1980s poaching. Here, you are able to spot some of the older “tuskers” lumbering almost delicately before the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast at the camp, check out and drive to Tsavo West National Park. Upon entering the park, enjoy a game-viewing drive en route to the camp, arriving in the early afternoon for check-in, followed by lunch.

Enjoy afternoon game viewing drives in the park. Tsavo West National Park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world with large herds of dusty-red elephants, hippopotamus, giant crocodiles, black rhinoceros and African buffalo. The park also includes lion, cheetah and leopard, as well as the "Big Five". Birdlife is abundant, with more than 600 species of birds recorded.

Tsavo West National Park

Enjoy a full day in Tsavo with morning and afternoon game-viewing drives. The park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world with large herds of dusty-red elephants, hippopotamus, giant crocodiles, black rhinoceros and African buffalo. The park also includes lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as the "Big Five". Other animals commonly seen in the park include zebra, antelope and gazelle, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, and lesser kudu. Birdlife is abundant, with more than 600 species recorded.

Some interesting places to visit include Mzima Springs, Roaring Rocks and the Chaimu and Shetani Lava Sites, to name a few.

Tsavo West National Park to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Check out after a sumptuous breakfast in the camp and drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to arrive in time for check-in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, followed by lunch.

Few safari lodges in Africa are as iconic as Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Built on elevated stilts overlooking a series of natural waterholes, the lodge offers one of Kenya's most unique wildlife experiences. Taita Hills to Nairobi or Mombasa

After breakfast at the lodge, depart and drive to the Voi train terminus to catch your train to Nairobi, departing at 12:00. Lunch will be served on board.

At 14:30, our hospitality team will be on hand to meet you on arrival at the Nairobi train terminus for your onward transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home travel.

NB: This tour can also terminate in Mombasa if you are interested in a beach holiday extension in Kenya's coastal towns of Mombasa or Diani.
