After breakfast, leave Nyungwe behind and journey towards the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu, the drive takes 4–5 hours.. Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and picturesque countryside before arriving at the lake.
Later, set out on a relaxing boat trip across Lake Kivu, taking in the peaceful waters and surrounding landscapes. Return to your hotel to unwind and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Lake Kivu to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, depart Lake Kivu and continue north towards Volcanoes National Park, which takes 2 - 3 hours enjoying a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside.
Upon reaching the Musanze area, you may opt to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and learn about the conservation of Rwanda’s mountain gorillas.
Continue to the lodge for check-in and a relaxing evening in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
