1-Day To the Ngorongoro Crater

Your day begins early in Arusha with a scenic drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach the crater highlands, the landscape changes and anticipation builds. At the crater rim, pause to take in your first view of the vast caldera below before descending into the wild.
Your game drive takes you across open grasslands, forests and wetlands, where you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebra, wildebeest and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the sights and sounds of the crater. Continue exploring in the afternoon before ascending the crater and returning to Arusha, carrying photographs, stories and memories of a remarkable day in Tanzania.
