Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park by flight, where a wealth of wildlife awaits.
Upon arrival, you'll meet your safari guide who you will be with him for 5 days. Today you will have a half-day game drive across Mikumi’s wide-open plains.
Watch elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and lions roam freely in their natural habitat.

You will learn about the region’s rich history and culture before continuing your journey toward Morogoro Town (approx. 3–4 hours’ drive).
You'll enjoy a relaxing overnight stay in Morogoro, a charming town nestled between lush hills and fertile farmlands.

Mikumi to Zanzibar

After breakfast with views of the hills in Morogoro, you will take a short drive to the Mikumi National Park Airstrip to board a direct bush flight to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). You will enjoy scenic aerial views of the coastal plains and the Indian Ocean channel during the 45-minute flight, bringing your 5-day Tanzanian safari to a spectacular close as you touch down on the white sands of Zanzibar.
