Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

7:00 am: You meet up with our hospitality representative and your dedicated safari driver-guide on arrival at the airport or your Nairobi Hotel. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, you depart and drive to Amboseli National Park to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in, followed by lunch.

The afternoon will be spent at leisure to relax and soak in magnificent views of the park from your room Veranda/Lounge or enjoy a swim in the lodge’s swimming pool.
You will enjoy afternoon game-viewing drives in the park. Elephants are a dominant presence in Amboseli; they are tracked almost constantly by researchers; thus, the reason they have largely escaped the ravages of 1980s poaching. Here, you can spot some of the older “tuskers” lumbering almost delicately before the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

As the sun sets on the horizon, you drive back to the lodge in time to refresh for dinner and an overnight stay.

6:30 am: After an early morning cup of tea/coffee, you will depart for a morning game drive in the

Amboseli is one of the most popular destinations for safari-goers to Kenya, but it also offers some spectacular views of the highest free-standing mountain in the world - Mount Kilimanjaro. You return to the lodge for breakfast, check-out, and onward drive to Nairobi to arrive in Nairobi in time for a farewell lunch at the famed Carnivore Restaurant, Compliments of Afio Mai Africa Safaris.

The Carnivore is a meat specialty restaurant. At the restaurant, whole joints of meat, lamb, pork legs, exotic meats, sausages, chicken livers and wings, and even crocodile are skewered on traditional Masai swords and roasted over a huge charcoal pit!
Later, you transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your travel home.
