Drive Arusha to Tarangire

07:00 hrs Meet up with our hospitality Representative and your dedicated safari driver guide at your Arusha hotel/airport. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, depart and drive to Tarangire National Park to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in and lunch at your lodge.

Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy a swim in the lodges swimming pool before embarking on an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. The sixth largest national park in Tanzania. The park derived its name from the mighty Tarangire River that crosses through its beautiful landscape. Visitors to the park can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include African lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.

Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

06:30hrs Embark on an early morning game drive in the park. One of the key attractions that have made Tarangire National Park to become internationally popular is its largest elephant population which in fact is considered to be the highest in the whole of Tanzania.

Return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast before check-out and your onward drive to your destination, the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Arrive in time for lunch in your lodge followed by some free time to relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro crater below from the lodge lounge.

Later depart and descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe.

As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner.
