Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park and enjoy Sunset Boat Safari on the Great Rufiji River

Program of the Day: Your safari begins with a morning pickup from the agreed location in Dar es Salaam, followed by a 4 to 5 hours drive to Nyerere National Park. On arrival, you will enjoy a delicious hot lunch at the lodge before setting out on an unforgettable sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River. As you cruise along the river, you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Wildlife often gathers near the water, giving you chances to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, lions, and other animals along the riverbanks.

After the boat excursion, you will return to Nyerere Tented Camp in Mloka Village for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

Program of the Day: Spend the entire day exploring Nyerere National Park on a thrilling game drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle. This full-day adventure offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography as you explore different parts of the park. Covering approximately 54,600 square kilometres, Nyerere is Africa’s largest national park and is renowned for its large elephant population. You may also encounter lions, African wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbucks, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, greater kudus, and many other wildlife species
.
As the day comes to an end, enjoy a final game drive while making your way back to the lodge. Upon arrival, you will have time to freshen up with a shower before enjoying a delicious dinner and relaxing overnight at your accommodation.

Guided Wilderness Walking Safari, Maasai Village Experience & Drive Back to Dar es Salaam

Program of the Day: Early in the morning, you will depart for Mloka Village, where your guided wilderness walking safari begins. Accompanied by an experienced guide, security escort, and local tracker, you will explore the African bush on foot while learning about animal tracks, plants, insects, and the surrounding ecosystem. Walking through the wilderness offers a unique and exciting way to experience nature at close range.

After the walking safari, you will then visit a nearby Maasai Boma, where you can experience the traditional Maasai way of life, culture, dances, and local traditions. After the cultural visit, begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your safari adventure.
