Ndutu Area , Southern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, leave the Ngorongoro area and begin your journey toward the Ndutu plains, located in the Southern Serengeti ecosystem. As you travel toward Ndutu, the scenery gradually opens into expansive grasslands that become especially important during the Great Migration calving season.

Upon reaching the Ndutu area, begin your first game drive and experience the atmosphere of the migration for yourself. Depending on wildlife movements, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebra and other plains animals spread across the short-grass plains. Keep a close eye on the surroundings, as predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas are attracted to the abundance of prey.

This is your first opportunity to experience Ndutu at its most exciting, with the landscape alive with movement and wildlife. Enjoy the evening around your accommodation and prepare for a full day dedicated to exploring Ndutu tomorrow.

Ndutu Area , Southern Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to the spectacular Ndutu Calving Season. After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive across the Southern Serengeti plains, spending valuable time exploring areas where the migrating herds are concentrated.

During this period, the plains become a natural nursery as thousands of wildebeest calves are born. You may witness newborn calves taking their first steps, mothers protecting their young and large herds moving across the open grasslands. The abundance of vulnerable young animals also attracts predators, making this one of the most exciting periods for wildlife observation.

Your experienced guide will follow the wildlife movements and search for opportunities to observe lions, cheetahs and hyenas, while also allowing time to appreciate the scenery and photograph the herds. With a full day in Ndutu, you have more time to explore different areas rather than rushing from one sighting to another.

After your morning exploration, continue toward Central Serengeti. The journey itself becomes part of the safari as you travel through the vast Serengeti ecosystem, with wildlife potentially appearing along the route. Upon reaching Central Serengeti, enjoy an afternoon game drive and begin discovering a different side of this famous national park.

Central Serengeti is known for its year-round wildlife and offers opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other plains animals. As the afternoon light softens across the savannah, continue your game drive before heading to your accommodation for your overnight stay in Central Serengeti.
