Today is dedicated entirely to the Ndutu Calving Season, making it one of the most important days of your safari.
With a full day in the Southern Serengeti, you can explore different parts of the Ndutu ecosystem without being rushed. During the calving season, thousands of wildebeest gather across the short-grass plains, and newborn calves can often be seen staying close to their mothers as the herds move through the area.
The abundance of young animals also attracts predators. Keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other carnivores moving through the plains. Your experienced guide will help you understand the behaviour of the animals and position you for the best possible wildlife-viewing opportunities.
The full-day format also gives you flexibility to spend more time at interesting sightings and enjoy the spectacular scenery of Ndutu.
