Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Nairobi or from the airport upon arrival and depart for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

En route, we will make a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have an opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery, take photos, and freshen up for approximately 5–10 minutes. We will then proceed to Narok Town for another short stop, where you may have refreshments and do some shopping if needed.

Thereafter, continue your journey to the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at your accommodation. After lunch, relax and unwind before embarking on your first afternoon game drive at approximately 3:00 PM. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the reserve until sunset, with opportunities to spot the diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes of the Mara.

Later, return to your accommodation for dinner, followed by a relaxing evening around the bonfire and overnight stay.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the reserve extensively in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as other fascinating wildlife and bird species.

You will enjoy your packed lunch at a designated picnic site within the reserve, surrounded by the beautiful wilderness of the Mara. After lunch, continue with your game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve and taking in the spectacular landscapes and abundant wildlife.

The game drive will continue until the evening, after which you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

This is another wonderful day in the wild, offering you the flexibility to choose how you would like to explore the Masai Mara.

1. Full-Day Game Drive
Enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, allowing you to explore different areas of the reserve and maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities.

2. Morning & Afternoon Game Drives
Begin with an early morning game drive, return to your accommodation for breakfast and relaxation, and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive from approximately 3:30 p.m. until sunset.

3. Hot Air Balloon Safari – USD 460 per person
Enhance your safari with a Hot Air Balloon experience at an additional USD 460 per person. Enjoy an approximately one-hour flight over the Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Thereafter, return to your accommodation with an en-route game drive for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive from approximately 3:30 p.m. until sunset.

After breakfast, you will check out and depart for Nairobi, marking the end of your memorable safari experience.

En route, you may opt to visit a traditional cultural village at an additional cost of USD 20 per person, where you will have the opportunity to experience the local culture, traditions, and way of life.

After the cultural visit, continue your journey to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your accommodation within Nairobi or at the airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.
