Day 2

After a relaxed breakfast set off together for Tarangire National Park one of Tanzania's most underrated wildlife havens and one of the best kept secrets for couples craving space and quiet. Tarangire is home to ancient baobab trees some over a thousand years old standing like silent guardians over the golden plains and to one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa. Spend the day on a game drive together watching entire elephant families move toward the river in the afternoon heat calves shaded beneath their mothers while giraffe and zebra graze in the distance. It's a slower more intimate side of safari away from the crowds. As the light softens continue to Karatu a lush highland town on the edge of Ngorongoro where cooler mountain air and coffee farms welcome you for a peaceful night together after a full day in the wild.

After breakfast depart Karatu and begin the scenic drive toward the Serengeti climbing through the Ngorongoro highlands with sweeping views of the crater along the way before descending onto the endless plains that give the Serengeti its name. Arrive at your camp to a warm welcome a glass of chilled champagne waiting for you and your room dressed with fresh rose petals scattered across the bed a quiet surprise after a long day on the road. Spend the afternoon settling in or heading out on a gentle game drive across some of the richest wildlife territory in Africa. As evening falls enjoy a candlelit dinner beneath a sky turning shades of orange and purple.

A relaxed morning game drive brings you close to lion, cheetah and giraffe against the backdrop of endless grassland. Return to camp for a long lunch and a quiet afternoon together before heading out again as the light turns golden and wildlife stirs. Look out for lion, elephant, hippo, and the chance of spotting the endangered black rhino before enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater. In the early afternoon begin the drive back to Arusha arriving in the evening as your honeymoon safari comes to a close six days spent slowing down together, in the heart of Tanzania's wild.
