Day 1
Nairobi to the Masai Mara - Into the Wild
Nairobi to the Masai Mara - Into the Wild
Your brother's birthday adventure begins the moment we collect you both from your Nairobi hotel. As the city gives way to the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the drive itself becomes a slow unveiling — plunging valleys, Maasai herders with their cattle, and the first hints of the golden savannah ahead.
You'll arrive at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge in time for a relaxed lunch, and by afternoon you're already on your first game drive through one of the most storied wildlife reserves on Earth — home to the Big Five and some of the highest predator densities in Africa.
Photography Tip: Keep your camera on the seat beside you, not in the bag — the Mara rewards the ready. Late-afternoon light turns the grass copper gold, perfect for silhouettes of acacia trees against the sky.

Day 2
The Masai Mara National Reserve - Predators & the Mara River
The Masai Mara National Reserve - Predators & the Mara River
A full day to let the Mara reveal itself. Dawn and dusk game drives track lion prides at rest, cheetah scanning the plains from termite mounds, and elephant families moving unhurried through the grass.
For a change of pace, join an optional walking safari along the Mara River with an armed Kpsga guide — trading the vehicle for footsteps, and the horizon for the small, overlooked details of the bush:
tracks, dung beetles, the alarm call of a startled impala.
Photography Tip: For the walking safari, shoot low and wide to capture scale — a single acacia against an endless plain says more than a close-up ever could.
Overnight: Mara Sopa Safari Lodge — located right inside Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 3
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru - A Scenic Crossing through the Rift
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru - A Scenic Crossing through the Rift
After one final Mara sunrise, we break camp and turn north for Lake Nakuru National Park. Rather than rushing the journey, we build in a leisurely picnic lunch en route — a chance to stretch your legs, eat well, and take in the patchwork of highland farmland and Rift Valley escarpment sliding past your window.
As we approach the park boundary in the mid-afternoon, we ease into a light, unhurried game drive on our way to the lodge.
You'll check in by late afternoon with the rest of the evening entirely your own: settle into your room, enjoy the lodge's grounds and facilities, and unwind over a sundowner before dinner. No agenda, no alarm — a deliberate pause built into a trip that otherwise moves fast.
Photography Tip: The drive north crosses some of the Rift Valley's most photogenic farmland — keep your window seat and a wide lens ready for the escarpment views as we descend toward Nakuru.
Overnight: Egret Savanna Camp/ Flamingo hill Lux camp located inside Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha - Rhino, Flamingos & Freshwater Calm
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha - Rhino, Flamingos & Freshwater Calm
This morning belongs entirely to Lake Nakuru. We head out early for an extensive game drive through the park at its most active — tracking both black and white rhino in the dedicated sanctuary, scanning the lakeshore for flamingo and pelican, and watching for the leopard that move quietly through the forested slopes above the water.
It's a slower, more concentrated style of viewing than the open Mara, and one of Kenya's most rewarding for photography and rare-species sightings alike. By late morning we depart for Lake Naivasha, Kenya's freshwater jewel ringed by acacia woodland and volcanic cliffs, arriving in time for lunch.
The afternoon is yours to choose: a boat ride across the lake for close, safe encounters with hippo pods and fish eagles, a guided walking safari on Crescent Island among free-roaming zebra, giraffe and antelope, or time with a specialist birding guide through one of East Africa's premier birding sites.

Day 5
Hell's Gate National Park, Then South to Amboseli
Hell's Gate National Park, Then South to Amboseli
Wake to breakfast with Mount Longonot on the horizon before heading into Hell's Gate National Park.
This is one of the only parks in Kenya where wildlife roams freely without a vehicle between you and it, so today's game drive threads through towering red cliffs, obsidian lava flows and the twin volcanic pillars of Fischer's and Central Tower, with zebra, giraffe, buffalo and eland grazing in the open gorge below.
Included is a guided walk through the gorge itself; for those wanting more, optional add-ons include a cycling safari along the valley floor and rock climbing or abseiling on the gorge's sheer walls, arranged locally on request.
Exit Hell's Gate to Amboseli, with lunch en route. The landscape shifts steadily from Rift Valley farmland to the dry, acacia-studded plains of the Kenya-Tanzania borderlands, and as daylight fades you'll arrive at your Amboseli sopa lodge in the early evening, in good time to settle in before a well-earned dinner and overnight rest.

Amboseli National Park - Elephants Beneath the Mountain
Amboseli National Park - Elephants Beneath the Mountain
One last game drive at first light, chasing whatever Amboseli has left to offer, before breakfast and the drive back to Nairobi. En route, we can arrange an optional stop at the Nairobi Giraffe Centre for a hand-feeding encounter, followed by lunch at the legendary Carnivore Restaurant — a fitting last taste of Kenya before your transfer to the airport, or on to your hotel if you're extending your stay.
Photography Tip: One last frame worth taking: the two of you, together, with the Mara or Kilimanjaro behind you. The wildlife photos will be many — this one will be the one you print.
