Pick Up from Entebbe & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Your safari begins with a pick-up from Entebbe in the morning. Meet your driver-guide and start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Travel through Uganda’s countryside, passing local towns, farms, plantations and beautiful landscapes along the way. You will have stops for refreshments and lunch before continuing towards the park. On arrival in the Kibale area, check in at your lodge and relax after the journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short walk around the lodge or simply enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings. Prepare for tomorrow’s exciting chimpanzee trekking experience.

Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trekking experience. Enter Kibale Forest with experienced guides and search for chimpanzees as they move through the trees and forest floor. You may also encounter other primates, birds and forest wildlife during the trek. After the experience, return for lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Swamp for a guided nature walk. The walk offers opportunities to see monkeys, birds, butterflies and other wildlife while learning about the local environment and community conservation efforts before returning to your lodge.

Departure to Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before checking out and beginning your journey back to Entebbe. Your driver-guide will take you through the Ugandan countryside, giving you another opportunity to enjoy the changing scenery and local communities along the route. Depending on your departure schedule, you may stop for lunch or refreshments along the way. The journey provides a relaxed end to your safari after your chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Swamp experience. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport, depending on your travel plans. This marks the end of your safari with Menlyn Tours & Travel.
